Cancellation insurance is available at final payment. Balance is due by May 2, 2024 and trip becomes nonrefundable at that time. After May 2, 2024, space is based on availability. Day One - Sunday, June 23, 2024

Morning: Board coach at the Home Depot in Clifton Park located at 4 Halfmoon Crossing at 7:00 am. Morning rest stop and lunch stop in route. Dining is on your own. Afternoon: Visit the Brandywine River Museum, a unique showcase of American art housed in an historic 19th-century gristmill in Chadds Ford, PA. See its unparalleled collection of works by three generations of the Wyeth family and enjoy a private Three Generations Museum Tour with focus on N. C. Wyeth and a tour of N. C. Wyeth’s house and studio. Enjoy lunch on your own while visiting. Evening:  Arrive in downtown Wilmington, DE and check into DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown Wilmington for a two night stay. Baggage handling included. A dinner buffet is included this evening at the hotel.

 

 

Day Two - Monday, June 24, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel. Visit the Hagley Museum & Library, located along the banks of the Brandywine River, Hagley is the site of the gunpowder works founded by E.I. DuPont in 1802. This example of early American industry includes restored mills, workers' community, and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family. Afternoon: Visit Longwood Gardens, the former country estate of Pierre S. du Pont in Kennett Square, PA. This is considered the world's premier horticultural display on 1,050 acres with 40 indoor/outdoor gardens, woodlands, a breathtaking conservatory, spectacular fountains and an array of floral and fauna. Free time for lunch on your own today at Longwood Gardens Café. Evening: Visit neighboring Riverfront Wilmington for a wide array of restaurants for dining on your own and an opportunity to take a stroll along the beautiful Cristiana River.

 

Day Three - Tuesday, June 25, 2024

Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Tour Nemours Mansion, the 300-acre country estate of the late industrialist and philanthropist Alfred I. DuPont, with beautiful jardin à la française formal gardens surrounding the classical French mansion. Afternoon: Visit Henry Francis DuPont’s Winterthur. Delight in the museum’s magnificent collection of American decorative arts as you tour the house and exhibition galleries. Enjoy free time to stroll the glorious 60- acre garden and relax aboard the Garden Tram Tour to explore Winterthur's 1,000 acres encompassing rolling hills, streams, meadows, and forests. Free time for lunch on your own today at Winterthur’s Café. Board coach and depart at 3:00 pm. A dinner/rest stop will be made in route. Evening: Arrival back in Clifton Park at 9:00 pm.
