Prices are per person based on double occupancy. Pricing for single, triple and quad occupancy is available. A refundable deposit of $100 per person is due upon reservation. Cancellation insurance is available at final payment. Balance is due by August 5, 2024 and trip becomes nonrefundable at that time. After August 5, 2024, space is based on availability. Morning: Board coach in Clifton Park at the Home Depot located at 4 Halfmoon Crossing at 7:00 am. A morning rest stop will be made in route. Dining is on your own. Arrive and enjoy free time for lunch and shopping at Newport’s Brick Marketplace. Afternoon: Enjoy a guided tour of historic Newport, RI. Enter the world of Vanderbilts, Astors and the wealthiest of gilded age tycoons as you travel Newport's fabulous Bellevue Avenue, peppered with stunning mansions and gardens. After, visit a stunning Newport mansion, The Elms, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Julius Berwind. Enjoy a self guided audio tour of this grand mansion. The Elms was modeled after an 18th-century French chateau and houses an outstanding collection of paintings, statuary and tapestries, and its landscape features formal gardens, terraces, pavilions and fountains. Evening: Check into the Hampton Inn located in Coventry, Rhode Island for a one night stay. Dinner on your own this evening at the hotel’s adjacent Applebee’s or Cracker Barrel Restaurants.
Morning: Breakfast at your hotel, prior to check out. Check out, board coach and depart for Point Judith, RI and the Block Island Ferry. Enjoy a scenic ferry cruise from Point Judith to Block Island. Magnificent scenic beauty surrounds you as you cruise out into the beautiful Block Island Sound. Afternoon: Upon arrival, check into the historic National Hotel located across from the ferry landing for a two night stay. This historic hotel in the center of downtown Old Harbor offers a great vantage point for sightseeing, shopping and beach life on the island. Enjoy lunch on your hotel’s grand front porch including New England Clam Chowder and your choice of Pan Seared Chicken Breast, Seafood Casserole or Pasta Pomodori with Apple Rum Cobbler for dessert. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to relax and explore this island paradise at your leisure. Visit the eclectic Old Harbor village shops, relax at your hotel or take a stroll on the beautiful sandy beach, adjacent to the hotel. Evening: Enjoy dinner on your hotel’s grand front porch including Mixed Green Salad, Grilled Salmon, Chicken Marsala or Pasta Pomodori with Key Lime Pie for dessert.
Morning: Enjoy a hot buffet breakfast on your hotel on your hotel’s grand front porch. Enjoy a guided Block Island Bus Tour. View the islands’ pristine sandy beaches, quaint inns, fishing villages and a visit to the Southeast Lighthouse (1873) for panoramic island views including Mohegan Bluffs jutting 200 feet above the sea. Afternoon: Your Island Bus Tour concludes and the full afternoon is yours to relax and exploring at leisure. Lunch today is on your own at the hotel or one of the nearby restaurants. Evening: Enjoy a Lobsterbake Dinner on your hotel’s grand front porch including New England Clam Chowder and your choice of Steamed Lobster, Filet Mignon or Pan Seared Swordfish with Strawberry Shortcake for dessert.
Morning: Enjoy a hot buffet breakfast on your hotel on your hotel’s grand front porch. After breakfast, relax at your hotel, sightsee, take a stroll on the beach and have lunch on your own at your hotel or in the village, prior to your mid-afternoon ferry departure. Afternoon: Meet your AAA Escort and board the 3:00 pm ferry for our cruise back to the mainland. Upon return, board our coach and depart for home. A dinner/rest stop will be made in route. Dining is on your own. Evening: Arrival back in Clifton Park at 8:30 pm.
